SaraCare AI Patient Safety Monitor

SaraCare AI is a real-time patient safety companion built using TruGen AI, FastAPI, and a live monitoring dashboard.

The idea is simple: elderly, bed-rest, or recovering patients often need continuous attention, but caregivers cannot watch them every second. SaraCare acts as an AI companion that talks to the patient, understands their situation, and triggers caregiver alerts when needed.

Using TruGen AI, the patient can interact with Sara through a real-time AI agent. Sara can remind the patient when it is medicine time, calmly ask them to wait for the caretaker if they are trying to go to the restroom alone, and escalate urgent situations such as a fall, pain, or emergency symptoms.

Instead of only answering questions, SaraCare takes action. When help is needed, Sara calls an external webhook/API tool connected to our FastAPI backend. The backend updates the SaraCare dashboard, logs the incident in the Safety Incident Log, and triggers the caregiver alert flow.
