How Does GDG Cloud New Delhi Shortlist Attendees for Events?

We have created this page to share how we shortlist people to attend the events. It is pure logic and not luck at all. The goal is to create a successful event that is useful for the attendees and creates an impact while helping people build their network and find more opportunities to collaborate.

Criteria for Shortlisting Attendees:-

 

Balanced Mix of Attendees: -

Flagship Events: For major events like Google Cloud Community Day, Build with AI etc., priority is given to active members who have been engaged throughout the year. 

Regular Events: A healthy mix of regular and new members is maintained to ensure inclusivity and diversity of perspectives.

Diversity: Diversity is a prime consideration, encompassing not only gender diversity but also varying technology backgrounds. This helps in creating a richer learning environment and fostering broader networking opportunities.

 

Profile and Registration:-

Commudle Profile: A completed Commudle profile is essential. 

Registration Form: A well-filled registration form is the first step in the selection process. Detailed information helps us match attendees with relevant event sessions.

 

Skills and Interests Alignment:-

Tech Sessions: Attendees are matched with sessions based on their skills and interests. For instance, ML/AI professionals are given preference for events targeting those technologies, while beginner-friendly events focus more on students. 

 

Attendance History:-

No-Show Policy: Applicants who have received entry passes in the past but did not attend, or those who attended without an invitation, are deprioritized. Commitment and reliability are key to maintaining the integrity of our events. 

Venue Capacity: Despite our wish to invite everyone, we are limited by the venue's space/seat count. We aim to invite as many members as possible while adhering to the venue’s guidelines.

By following these criteria, we strive to create meaningful and impactful events that foster learning, networking, and collaboration within the GDG Cloud New Delhi community.
