AuroraSafe is an AI-powered predictive safety intelligence platform that combines crowdsourced community reports with live news data to provide real-time risk awareness. Built with a Next.js frontend and a FastAPI backend, it was developed to solve the problem of outdated public safety information by leveraging Gemini for incident classification, XGBoost for predictive risk scoring, and DBSCAN for dynamic hotspot detection. For everyday users, it offers actionable utility through safe-route generation that actively avoids high-risk zones, location risk-scoring, and an integrated SOS flow, ultimately empowering communities to navigate their cities with data-driven confidence.
