CampusCon

CampusConnect is a university-centric event discovery and engagement platform designed to centralize all campus-level events of a university in one structured and accessible space. The platform allows students to search for their university, log in using their student identity, and explore a dedicated events dashboard that includes upcoming events, past events, and detailed event archives.

Unlike generic event platforms, CampusConnect focuses exclusively on events localized to college and university communities, ensuring that activities remain relevant only to the students they are intended for. This design also respects university privacy, as events are not publicly exposed to external audiences and remain accessible only within the selected campus ecosystem.

The platform preserves the history and culture of campus life through image and video galleries and student reviews, while acting as an intermediary that connects students with official university event registrations without interfering with existing administrative workflows.

Why We Built This

We built CampusConnect after observing that event information in universities is highly fragmented and spread across WhatsApp groups, notice boards, emails, social media posts, and scattered Google Forms. This fragmentation leads to low awareness, missed opportunities, and reduced participation, especially for new students.

While platforms like Eventbrite and Commudle exist, they are built primarily for public or professional events and do not cater well to localized college communities or institutional privacy requirements. Universities need a system that keeps events campus-specific, organized university-wise, and accessible only to their own students.

Inspired by structured campus systems commonly seen in Japanese universities, this platform aims to digitally represent campus life in a more organized and privacy-conscious manner while keeping administrative overhead minimal.

How This Can Be Useful for Others

For Students

CampusConnect provides a single place to discover everything happening within their own campus community. Students can explore past events through galleries and reviews, helping them make informed decisions while staying connected to activities meant specifically for their college environment.

For Universities and Organizers

The platform offers a centralized and privacy-respecting space to showcase campus activities without exposing internal events publicly. Since registrations continue to be handled through official Google Forms, universities retain full control over participant data while benefiting from improved visibility and engagement.

For College Communities

CampusConnect strengthens localized engagement by ensuring that events remain relevant, structured, and limited to the intended academic community. This makes it easier for institutions to manage events while maintaining privacy and institutional boundaries.
