COVID-19 Update Tracker

Introduction

Our strategy is to build a COVID-19 UPDATE system.This project is intended to help guide the public health response to COVID-19 at national and subnational levels, and to update the global strategy to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.Tracking daily covid data was a major step forward in quantifying the current impact on local hospital systems, modeling and forecasting future utilization needs, and tracking the rate of change in the disease severity.  

Solution 

Timeliness, consistency, and proper dissemination of the data were the three main pillars of the aggregation process.Covid-19 update tracker updates its estimates daily to provide a comparison with the estimates of officially confirmed cases, which are also updated once per day. It does not ask any personal questions, and only collects data about the contacts of the participant.The data collected from each participant is limited to the day in which the survey was completed, the geographical region for which the user wishes to provide information, and the replies to the aforementioned questions.

How it helps to solve the problem?

We present the system architecture and estimation methods of Covid-19 Update Tracker, which uses open surveys to monitor the progress of the pandemic.Our graphical estimations require large amounts of data from active participants, but provide insightful depictions of the progress of the pandemic in different regions, offering an estimation of the cumulative and active number of cases in our country. 

Frameworks/Technologies stacks used

We are using Html, CSS , JavaScript and APIs for our project. APIs are needed to bring applications together in order to perform a designed function built around sharing data and executing pre-defined processes. They work as the middle man, allowing developers to build new programmatic interactions between the various applications people and businesses use on a daily basis.

Future Scope 

Contact tracing helps protect you, your family, and your community by:

• Helping people diagnosed with COVID-19 get referrals for services and resources they may need to safely isolate.
• Notifying people who have come into close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 and helping them determine what steps to take, depending on their vaccination status and history of prior infection . Follow-up may include testing, quarantine, and wearing a well-fitted mask.
• Discussions with public health workers are confidential. This means that your personal and medical information will be kept private and only shared with those who may need to know, like your healthcare provider. 

Societal Impact

COVID-19 update tracker has been readily converted into practical everyday use as top-down national governments' policies encourage vaccinations, remote patient monitoring and digital clinical trials to cope with the urgent crisis.

The COVID Tracker has been designed to make the best use of the health advice and technology available. But it is part of a number of ways that we can slow the spread of COVID-19 and should not replace the existing public health guidelines.
