Project Purpose
Millions of skilled micro-artisans remain "credit-invisible" because they operate entirely through informal channels like cash, local diaries, and WhatsApp text ledgers. Because they lack traditional salary slips, tax filings, or standard credit histories, mainstream banks routinely reject their loan applications.
CreditWeave was built to bridge this gap. Our platform translates an artisan's everyday informal business history—like text logs and micro-UPI payment streams—into a verified, alternative credit profile that formal financial institutions can understand and trust.
Project Goals
-
Create a Fair Alternative Score: Build a smart underwriting engine that analyzes informal transaction histories to generate a trustworthy proxy credit score.
-
Account for Business Seasonality: Calibrate the scoring model to recognize regional trade cycles (such as natural revenue spikes before major festivals like Eid or Diwali), ensuring artisans are rewarded for healthy seasonal sales rather than being penalized for fluctuating monthly income.
-
Automate the Loan Application Pipeline: Instantly match artisans with optimal government lending frameworks (like the MUDRA scheme) and safely automate the portal form-filling process with a secure, human-in-the-loop verification bridge.
-
Ensure Ironclad Data Privacy: Maintain strict compliance with data privacy standards by processing information only with explicit consent and automatically purging raw data chunks right after submission.
