What This System Is Built For

This project is designed as an AI-powered fire and smoke detection system that goes beyond traditional alarms. Instead of relying only on sensors, it uses computer vision and multi-modal AI to analyze live camera feeds in real time. The system can detect smoke, fire, or abnormal heat patterns, while reducing false alarms from harmless activities (like cooking or steam). It also provides a real-time dashboard, alerts, and adaptive learning to make fire detection smarter and more reliable.

To push innovation further, we’re expanding the system with advanced features:

• Predictive Risk Modeling → Estimates how quickly a small flame could escalate, with a live “risk level meter.”

• Cross-Camera Tracking → Detects fire spread across multiple cameras and maps affected zones.

• Explainable AI (XAI) → Highlights video regions that triggered the detection with heatmaps, making AI decisions transparent.

• Incident Timeline Generation → Auto-generates chronological summaries (detection → alerts → response).

• Environmental Adaptability → Learns local conditions (fog, steam, coastal weather) to avoid false triggers.

• Multi-Language Alerts → Sends alerts in multiple regional languages (SMS, email, browser notifications, audio).

• Cloud + Edge Flexibility → Can run on lightweight edge devices for single buildings or scale to cloud for smart cities.

• Post-Incident Analytics → Provides replay, heatmaps, and AI reports for investigation and prevention strategies.
