Why We Built It:
We built GramSetu to solve one of rural India’s biggest challenges — lack of access to digital financial systems due to language barriers, limited digital literacy, and low trust in formal institutions. Many farmers and small traders still depend on informal lenders simply because financial tools are too complicated or not available in their native languages.
What We Built:
We created GramSetu, a multilingual, voice-assisted financial inclusion platform, that allows users to:
Speak in their own language to perform financial actions (apply for loans, check balances, learn finance basics).
Get AI-powered guidance through Google Gemini for real-time support and explanations.
Use voice-to-voice interaction via Google Cloud’s Speech APIs and an offline-first, secure dashboard built with React and Firebase.
