Hackathon TeamUp is an AI-powered platform built to revolutionize how developers, designers, and innovators connect and collaborate for hackathons. The idea behind this build came from the real challenge that most hackathon participants face — finding the right teammates quickly who share similar skills, interests, and goals. Often, talented individuals miss out on great opportunities simply because they couldn’t form a team on time or lacked the right connections. We built Hackathon TeamUp to solve exactly that problem — with intelligence, speed, and collaboration at its core.

The platform uses AI-driven matchmaking to suggest the most compatible teammates based on skills, experience, and project interests. It also features AI-powered verification, matchmaking summaries, and conversation starters, helping users build authentic and productive connections. Once a team is formed, members can collaborate seamlessly with group chats, shared task lists, and real-time notifications — all inside the app.

Hackathon TeamUp doesn’t just stop at team formation; it also integrates AI-assisted project ideation, where users can generate and analyze problem statements or get guidance on feasibility and tech stacks. Designed with a clean, responsive UI, it adapts smoothly across mobile and desktop, ensuring accessibility for everyone.

We built this project using Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, ShadCN/UI, and Genkit (Google AI) to bring together performance, aesthetics, and cutting-edge intelligence.
