Purpose: Kisan Sahayak is a voice-only AI agriculture expert for Indian farmers — call it, ask anything about crops, equipment, market prices, or government schemes, get help, hang up. No login, no app navigation, no typing — built for people who'd rather talk than tap through menus.
Goals:
- Prove that a voice agent can be genuinely conversational (dynamic follow-up questions, in-call memory, natural interruption, Hindi/English code-switching) rather than a scripted IVR or a chatbot with a voice bolted on
- Cover the real breadth of what a farmer actually calls about — not just crop-disease diagnosis, but equipment trouble, prices, and schemes too
- Know its own limits — when it's genuinely uncertain or a question is safety-critical, say so plainly and route to a real human (the Kisan Call Centre or local KVK) instead of guessing
- Do all of this with zero data retention — every call is anonymous and self-contained, privacy by architecture rather than policy
