Meeting Notes Bot
An automated pipeline that converts Google Meet recordings into structured, actionable meeting notes and distributes them automatically — eliminating manual note-taking and follow-up drafting.
How it works:
Google Meet (recording + transcript)
↓
Google Drive (transcript auto-saved as a Doc)
↓
Gemini API — reads transcript, extracts:
• Summary
• Key discussion points
• Action items (owner + deadline)
• Draft follow-up email
↓
├──→ Notion — creates a structured notes page
└──→ Gmail — sends the follow-up email (with a confirmation prompt before sending)
Tech stack:
- Python 3.13, isolated in a project-local virtual environment
- Google Gemini API (
google-genai) — the summarization/extraction engine - Swytchcode — managed OAuth + execution layer for the Notion integration, avoiding hand-rolled API auth
- Google Drive API (OAuth 2.0) — for automatic transcript retrieval
Build approach: developed incrementally in 5 independently-testable stages (Gemini connectivity → structured note extraction → Notion write-back → Gmail delivery → full end-to-end automation), each validated against a controlled test case before integration.
