AI-Powered Conversational Announcement & Assistance System
This project delivers a next-generation, AI-driven travel-announcement companion designed to eliminate the communication gaps that passengers face in crowded public spaces such as railway stations, bus terminals, and airports. Traditional announcements are often missed due to noise, congestion, or unclear audio. This system bridges that gap by pushing real-time, personalized, conversational notifications directly to a user’s mobile device in the language of their choice.
At the core of the solution is a multilingual Conversational AI engine built with Agora’s real-time engagement framework. The system listens to live public announcements, converts speech to text, performs intelligent context extraction, and transforms the information into clear, actionable, human-like messages. It not only repeats the announcement; it interprets it.
For example, instead of a passenger hearing a vague message like “Train 1234 from Delhi to Lucknow is delayed by 2 hours”, the system proactively calculates and communicates the new expected arrival time. If a train is cancelled, the platform explains available compensation, refund rules, and next steps based on railway policies. This conversational guidance reduces confusion, minimizes crowding, and improves the entire travel experience.
The platform supports announcement history, bookmarkable alerts, station-specific feeds, and AI-driven query handling—allowing users to ask, “What platform is my train now arriving at?” or “Do I get a refund for a cancelled train?” The system responds instantly with accurate, verified information.
Designed as a scalable and modular architecture, the project integrates real-time audio streaming, NLP pipelines, and multilingual voice synthesis. With the power of Agora communications, the system ensures low latency, high reliability, and smooth conversational interactions even in high-traffic environments.
Overall, this AI-powered prototype reimagines public travel communication—making it more accessible, personalized, and intuitive for every passenger.
