NexusLock - Project Description
Purpose & Goals
NexusLockDPI removes India's citizen agony of repeatedly uploading Aadhaar/PAN/docs on various government websites (tax, health, ration cards). Our dual-DB system (public hashes for zero-knowledge proof + private encrypted storage) enables citizens to provide fine-grained consent while departments instantly validate authenticity without requiring the entire document.
Why We Built It
Even after DigiLocker, 60%+ government departments continue to reject digital proof submissions because of verification gaps, thereby requiring citizens to repeatedly upload documents, wasting 5-10 hours per family per year, and increasing the need for DPDP Act 2025 compliance.
How It's Useful To Citizens
One-click "Verify Only" (80% cases) or "Full Document" (20%) upload from dashboard; real-time access logs & instant revocation
Departments
One API call returns {valid: true, pan_valid: true} - 70% faster processing compared to manual verification
DPDP Compliance
Immutable audit trails, consent artifacts, & purpose-bound access (7-day default or custom TTL auto-cleanup)
Product Viability
$15.78B Global Opportunity: Identity verification market reaches USD 15.78 billion in 2026, growing 11.18% CAGR to $26.8B by 2031. Government segment leads adoption as digital service portals explode.
India Context: With 1.4B Aadhaar users + DPDP enforcement, consent management becomes mandatory. DigiLocker's API exists but lacks granular controls our hash/ZKP layer provides.
Monetization Path (Post-Hackathon):
-
B2G SaaS: Per-verification ($0.01-0.05) or per-citizen/month for state portals
-
AA Framework: Integrate as Consent Manager for financial DPI (like Sahamati)
-
Enterprise: Compliance layer for banks/NBFCs verifying KYC via Aadhaar hashes
Realistic Revenue Model: Capture 0.1% of India's 300M annual digital service applicants = 300K verifications/month × $0.02 = $6K MRR starting point, scaling with DPI adoption. "DigiLocker 2.0" - Zero-friction consents that actually work across government silos, DPDP-ready from day zero.
