SafeLens AI

ai cyber security phishing detection image analysis fraud prevention ai for good security link verification

SafeLens AI is a web-based tool designed to help people identify fake screenshots, phishing links, and scam messages before they fall for them. Every day, we see people getting tricked by edited payment proofs, fake refund links, and suspicious offers on social media or WhatsApp. I built SafeLens AI to make it easy for anyone — even non-tech users — to check whether something looks real or not.

The idea started when I noticed how often my friends and family would ask, “Is this link safe?” or “Did this person really send me money?” So instead of explaining each time, I thought: why not build a tool that automatically does that? Using Google’s Gemini AI models, SafeLens analyzes both text and images. If you upload a screenshot, it scans for edits, fake elements, or brand impersonation. If you paste a link or message, it checks whether it’s genuine, suspicious, or dangerous — and gives a clear score with reasons and safety tips.

This project can genuinely help people stay safer online. From students to small business owners, anyone who receives suspicious links or payment screenshots can use SafeLens AI to verify them instantly. It promotes digital literacy and trust, reducing the number of people who fall for scams.
