How is it useful for others?
SignBridge is an AI-powered communication bridge designed to connect hearing and speech-impaired individuals with non-sign language users. The system enables two-way real-time communication β converting sign language into text/speech and speech/text into sign animations using 3D avatars.
We built SignBridge to remove the communication gap that exists between deaf/mute individuals and the general population. Traditional solutions often support only one-way translation, but SignBridge enables mutual understanding by allowing both sides to communicate naturally.
How itβs useful:
-
Accessibility: Helps differently-abled individuals communicate independently without human interpreters.
-
Education: Teachers can use it to communicate inclusively with hearing-impaired students.
-
Customer Service: Can be integrated into hospitals, government offices, or help desks for accessibility support.
-
Real-Time Communication: Supports live interactions, making conversations smooth and natural.
-
Open Source: The project is available for collaboration and improvement by developers and researchers.
