Our project is a Smart AgriTech Environmental Safety and Irrigation Monitoring System designed to help farmers and rural communities make data-driven decisions using IoT, real-time weather data, and AI intelligence.
Traditional farming often suffers due to unpredictable weather, over-irrigation, lack of early warnings, and absence of intelligent insights. Our solution addresses these challenges by deploying an ESP32-based IoT node equipped with soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and relay-controlled irrigation systems. Sensor data is transmitted in real time to the Blynk IoT platform, enabling farmers to monitor field conditions remotely from a mobile dashboard.
To enhance intelligence, we integrate a Weather API that continuously fetches live weather conditions such as temperature and atmospheric status. This data complements local sensor readings to improve environmental awareness and preparedness for climate-related risks.
The system also integrates Google Gemini AI (via a secure backend) to generate human-readable summaries and recommendations. With a single tap, users receive insights such as irrigation suggestions and environmental alerts. A language switch feature (English/Hindi) ensures accessibility for local farmers, making the system inclusive and practical.
Unlike complex and expensive agricultural systems, our solution is:
-
Low-cost
-
Easy to deploy
-
Scalable
-
Cloud-based
This project aligns with AgriTech, Disaster Management, Smart Cities, and Sustainability goals, offering a unified platform for environmental monitoring and smart decision-making. Even without a physical prototype in the final round, our architecture, live data flow, and working dashboard demonstrate strong feasibility and real-world impact.
