SonaAI is a real-time voice AI co-teacher for live digital classrooms. Powered by Agora Conversational AI, SonaAI joins teachers and students in the same classroom, follows the lesson context, identifies repeated student confusion, and decides when to wait, ask permission, or speak.
Unlike a reactive chatbot, SonaAI is designed to help without unnecessarily interrupting the teacher. Teachers remain in control through AUTO, ASK, and MUTE modes. In ASK mode, SonaAI presents the detected learning signal and supporting student evidence before speaking. After approval, it provides a concise contextual explanation.
The MVP demonstrates live classroom participation, named teacher and student roles, real-time transcripts, intervention signals, teacher approval, post-class summaries, and student exercises based on the lesson context.
SonaAI is built with Next.js, TypeScript, Agora Conversational AI, Supabase, and a deterministic intervention engine. Deeper adaptive learning through AI-Charya is planned as a future extension.
