SRE-Zero - AI Incident Commander

SRE-Zero is an AI-powered real-time incident commander that helps engineering teams coordinate, investigate, and respond to live technical incidents from a unified incident war room.

SRE-Zero joins the incident through Agora Conversational AI, enabling real-time voice interaction with multiple participants. It listens to the team, identifies speakers and roles, maintains incident context, and provides conversational assistance when needed. The room also supports real-time shared and direct chat.

SRE-Zero follows an evidence-first approach by using available sources such as the incident website, monitoring systems, GitHub, TestSprite, and Jira. It separates confirmed facts, supported observations, hypotheses, missing information, conflicts, decisions, actions, and timeline events, rather than treating every statement as truth. It does not claim a root cause unless the available evidence supports it.

Throughout the incident, SRE-Zero maintains operational memory including the evolving timeline, evidence, decisions, actions, owners, and unresolved risks. It can also create and populate Jira tickets with relevant incident information, connecting live incident coordination with engineering workflows.

For critical remediation such as rollback, SRE-Zero can prepare and initiate the action workflow, but explicit human approval is required before critical production actions are executed. This keeps humans in control while allowing the AI to assist with response.

The system can generate a live text-based incident report during the incident and a final incident and conversation report after resolution. Reports are based on the actual conversation, evidence, decisions, actions, and incident timeline, clearly separating what was verified from what remains uncertain.

SRE-Zero does not replace the incident response team. It acts as an intelligent incident coordinator that listens, investigates, organizes, assists, and documents — while keeping humans in control of critical decisions.
