Backend Engineer

We are looking for a mid-senior backend engineer to join us at RentOk as we scale our user base. Someone who has an itch to build, to create an impact on 100s of millions of people with their code. Responsibilities: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while understanding the problem that is being solved with it Designing and implementing RESTful APIs along with their documentation and test cases Integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic Building reusable code libraries for future use Optimizing the performance of applications for full-scale production deployments Participating in code reviews Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance Collaborating with teammates to ideate and propose solutions wherever needed Requirements: You have prior experience as a back-end engineer. You are experienced with software engineering best practices such as design patterns, code reviews, unit and integration testing, etc. You have a good understanding of data structures, memory usage, and other fundamentals about running code in production. You have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You have a good understanding of NodeJS, and Typescript and are familiar with Typescript and any of the ORMs (TypeORM preferred) Passionate about building solutions
