  • What comprises of a devrel team?
    For every company, the role and duties of the DevRel are different. The main thing that is common between them is that each company offers products to software developers. A Devrel team comprises of developer advocates, developer evangelists, developer marketing, developer experience experts, and community managers.
  • What is the Key Difference between Developer Advocate and Developer Evangelist?
    The terms developer advocacy and developer evangelist may seem quite similar but there is a very fine difference between them. The job of a developer evangelist is to “convince” the software developers to adapt to a certain technology or product whereas the key responsibility of a developer advocate is to advocate on the behalf of developers and inform the internal stakeholders & teams about the pain points so that the product can be improved.

    Developer Relations, or DevRel, is an umbrella term that refers to strategies and techniques for fostering connections between businesses and developers (such as software developers), who are a product's primary users and frequently its purchasers, in a way that is mutually beneficial.
  • What is the difference between Devops and DevRel?
    Similarly to how DevOps aims to enhance communication between a company's development and operations teams, DevRel aims to do the same for proprietary and open-source developer communities.
