The ACM DTC Student Chapter organized an online workshop on May 29, 2024, at 7:00 PM on Internships and Resume Building. The event was held virtually under the guidance of our faculty coordinator, Dr. Neha Jain, and was a huge success. An audience of more than sixty students from all years of Engineering and BCA attended the session. The main aim of the event was to enlighten attendees about the importance of internships and help them curate job-ready
resumes.
The workshop began with a brief overview of the Student Chapter, the benefits of ACM, and its ideologies by the Chairperson of the Chapter. Following this, it was unanimously decided to begin the workshop with internship guidance. The attendees were shown several platforms to seek internship opportunities. Techniques to optimize their profiles and the ideal pathway to follow when applying for intern roles were discussed. The next speaker elaborated on possible internship roles for varied career choices and the top firms for these career pathways.
For the resume-building portion, the audience was guided on the types of resumes, the use of specific action verbs, and customization according to the role being applied for. The workshop culminated in an engaging Q&A session followed by a competitive quiz. The session was positively received by all attendees and was deemed a success.
