Who we are
Google Developer Groups (GDG) on Campus UIET, part of Google Developer Groups, is a student-led technical community at University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University. It aims to foster a culture of learning, innovation, and collaboration among students interested in technology and development. GDG UIET provides a platform where students can enhance their technical skills through peer-to-peer learning, hands-on projects, and real-world problem-solving.
We are reaching out to request a free community page on the Commudle platform, complete with our GDG UIET logo. A dedicated page would be invaluable for organizing, promoting, and managing our community and participant engagement, given the scale and frequency of our events.
Our chapter is highly active and hosts a diverse range of high-impact events, including:
- Large-Scale Hackathons: We organize major events like the 24-hour GDG Hacks 2025, which was a collaborative effort with other GDG On Campus chapters from universities across the North region (including NIT Jalandhar and Chitkara University). We also host internal hackathons like TECHNOVATE'25.
- Diverse Tech Focus: Our events cover cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Web/App Development, Web3, Cybersecurity, and IoT, as demonstrated by our "Build with AI" sessions.
- Industry Connect: We also host speaker sessions with industry experts, such as a Software Engineer from Microsoft, to provide career guidance and technical insights to our students.
Utilizing Commudle would significantly enhance our ability to manage registration, host event content, and track participation for our community members. We believe our highly engaged community would be a valuable addition to the Commudle ecosystem.
