๐ PyDelhi October Meetup โ Birds of a Feather (BoF)
For working professionals only
What happens when you bring a group of Pythonistas together on a Saturday afternoon?
You get a lively nest of opinionated ideas that fuel freely-flowing (almost slithering) conversations.
PyDelhi and PyData Delhi is back with the October edition of our monthly meetups, this time in a Birds of a Feather (BoF) format!
๐ค Whatโs a BoF?
While thereโs no formal definition (and strangely no Wikipedia page), a loose one would be:
"It is an informal gathering where people come to discuss pre-decided (and sometimes on-the-spot) topics and talk about their experiences, stories and learnings with said topic."
Weโll have multiple topics running in parallel for the BoFs.
๐ Who should join?
This edition is exclusively for working professionals with significant experience in Python, engineering and/or open source.
If thatโs you, feel free to suggest a topic of your choice or lead one of the sessions listed below:
- Python in Production โ scaling from prototype to prod, debugging, deployment hacks
- Async & Concurrency โ real-world wins and gotchas with asyncio, Trio, async frameworks
- Scaling APIs & Services โ FastAPI/Django/Flask in high-traffic, perf tricks, cloud-native issues
- Tooling & Best Practices โ mypy, pyright, pytest, packaging pains, productivity hacks
- Data & ML in Python โ running ML pipelines, MLOps tooling, going beyond notebooks
- Python + Rust/C Extensions โ mixing langs for performance, PyO3, Cython, Numba lessons
- Testing at Scale โ contract testing, property-based, pytest tricks in big teams
- Engineering Culture โ mentoring, reviews, Python team culture, career growth
- Security & Supply Chain โ PyPI issues, vendoring, SBOMs, reproducible builds, dependency hell
- Open Source in the Enterprise โ adopting OSS tools internally, leadership buy-in, migrations
