A new PyDelhi format for going deeper into how the systems we work with actually work under the hood.

This is not a beginner-friendly talk meetup. We’re keeping the group intentionally small and the discussions intentionally technical: 15 seats only, for software professionals with 1+ year of industry experience.

Expect detailed walkthroughs, internals, implementation decisions, and discussion around how these systems work beyond their public APIs.

Redis is often treated as a black box: send a command, get a response. In this session, Sagar will go deeper into what actually happens inside Redis.

We’ll look at the foundations of Redis, including:

• How Redis communicates over TCP

• How the RESP protocol works

• How Redis handles connections and requests

• Event-driven I/O and the event loop

• How these pieces come together to power Redis' performance

From kubectl apply to Reconciliation: Inside the Kubernetes API Machinery

What actually happens after you run kubectl apply?

This session will trace the request through Kubernetes' API machinery and into the reconciliation model that drives the cluster.

We’ll dig into:

• What happens inside the Kubernetes API server

• How API requests are processed

• Object storage and the path to etcd

• Watches, controllers, and reconciliation

• How Kubernetes turns a declarative request into actual cluster state

Format

This will be a deep-study and discussion-style meetup, rather than a typical conference-style event.

There will be time to pause, ask questions, discuss implementation details, and explore the parts of the systems that usually get abstracted away.

Eligibility: 1+ years of professional software engineering experience.
