Who we are

At Vertex, we’re building a welcoming space for tech enthusiasts, learners, and professionals to connect, grow, and innovate together.

Our community brings together developers, AI/ML specialists, cloud pros, and curious minds to explore the latest in tech—from AI and Web Development to DevOps and Android. Through workshops, talks, hackathons, and study jams, we learn, share, and build amazing things as a team.

Everything we do is free, inclusive, and open to anyone excited about tech. This Code of Conduct helps us keep Vertex a safe, respectful, and supportive space for all.

Code of Conduct

Expected Behaviour:

• Treat everyone with respect, kindness, and empathy, regardless of background, identity, or experience.

• Embrace diversity of thought and encourage inclusive collaboration.

• Participate actively in events, discussions, and initiatives.

• Be mindful of your words and actions and their impact on others.

• Give and receive constructive feedback gracefully.

• Respect community guidelines and shared resources.

Unacceptable Behaviour:

• Harassment, bullying, or discrimination in any form—including on the basis of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or nationality.

• Using demeaning, offensive, or exclusionary language.

• Sharing personal or sensitive information about others without consent.

• Disrupting talks, workshops, or online interactions.

• Any form of spamming, trolling, or malicious behavior.

• Ignoring or refusing to follow community policies.

Reporting:

• If you witness or experience any violations, please report them immediately to: commune.vertex@gmail.com

• An anonymous reporting form will be made available for confidential concerns.

• You are always welcome to reach out if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Consequences of Breaking the Code of Conduct:

• All reports will be reviewed promptly and impartially.

• Actions may include a verbal/written warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community.

• Severe or repeated violations will result in stronger consequences.

• Final decisions will be made by the Vertex community management team, considering fairness and community wellbeing.

Transparency and Process:

• We commit to a transparent, fair, and accessible reporting and resolution process.

• Updates about action taken (when appropriate) will be shared with relevant parties.

• Our goal is to uphold accountability while ensuring community members are supported.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI):

• A designated DEI Coordinator within the Vertex team will oversee diversity-related concerns.

• Every member is encouraged to speak up or seek help if they feel marginalized or unheard.

• We actively work to make Vertex a space that welcomes all identities and perspectives.
