For Episode 1, we delve into the entire world of - Task Oriented Dialogue Systems. Have you ever wondered how Siri or Alexa work internally? Curious about how ML/NLP are applied to achieve this awesome virtual human? 🤖

For this session, Anjali Bhavan (a Software Engineer at PayTM and part-time CLMS student at University of Washington) will discuss the concept of Task-Oriented Dialog Systems, or dialog systems that help us achieve particular goals like booking tickets, giving restaurant information etc. Some examples of such systems are Alexa and Siri. She'll introduce these systems, give an overview of their components, go through each part of the pipeline in a little detail, and finally discuss the application areas and scope for research.
