AetherDesk AI

AetherDesk AI is a local-first Windows AI command center built around PowerShell automation, HTML dashboards, a Windows desktop UI, a Chrome Extension, and optional local LLM intelligence through Ollama/Gemma. It combines system monitoring, productivity tracking, AI trend discovery, browser research capture, social trend intelligence, and privacy-focused local reporting into one lightweight desktop toolkit that runs on the user’s own machine without requiring a cloud dashboard.

The software uses a practical Windows-native stack: PowerShell scripts handle automation, data collection, scheduling, report generation, and module execution; WPF provides a professional Windows UI; HTML/CSS dashboards present reports in a browser-friendly format; JSON and CSV files store configuration, raw signals, activity logs, browser data, and report data; Windows Task Scheduler supports recurring background automation; and Ollama with gemma3:1b adds local AI summaries and recommendations when available.

AetherDesk AI also includes a Chrome Extension built with Manifest V3 and an official Native Messaging Host. The extension connects the browser with the local AetherDesk AI system, allowing users to save the current page, readable page text, page source, selected topics, browser activity duration, and selector-based screenshots directly into local project folders. It can run TrendRadar from selected text or the current page topic, show live running/completed/failed status, notify the user when a report finishes, and open the latest generated report or reports folder directly from Chrome.

Its main utility is turning a Windows computer and browser into a personal AI operations desk. Users can generate trending AI/open-source reports, inspect system health, track app and browser usage, create productivity dashboards, save research pages, capture web sections, compare social platform signals with TrendRadar, and identify which platform is best for a topic using weighted scoring, charts, ranked resources, and Gemma-generated insights.

AetherDesk AI is useful for developers, researchers, students, creators, freelancers, and power users who want private local automation. It helps answer questions like what is trending, whether the system is healthy, where time is going, which browser pages were useful, what content angle to use, which platform has the strongest trend signal, and what action should be taken next.
