As an AI/ML Intern at Infosys, I worked on designing and training machine learning models to solve real-world problems in cybersecurity. My main focus was on building an intrusion detection system (SentinelNet) that analyzed network traffic to identify potential threats. I handled tasks like data preprocessing, feature selection, and experimenting with algorithms such as Decision Trees, Random Forests, and Gradient Boosting to enhance detection accuracy. This experience deepened my understanding of end-to-end ML pipelines — from raw data to deployable intelligence — and strengthened my skills in model optimization, problem-solving, and translating data into meaningful insights.
